Durante i T3 Award 2014, ovvero gli oscar tecnologici assegnati ai migliori dispositivi in circolazione, Sony ha ricevuto il premio “Gadget of the Year” grazie alla sua PlayStation 4. La PlayStation è stata inserita anche nella T3 Hall of Fame e questo è sicuramente un riconoscimento apprezzato. L’HTC One (M8) è stato premiato invece come “Phone of the Year”, mentre Apple, nonostante alcuni premi ottenuti (“Laptop of the Year” e “Design Innovation Award”) è stata fischiata durante la cerimonia e contestata per non aver mandato nessuno sul palco per ritirare i premi assegnati.
